USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) Arrives in Guam

NAVAL BASE GUAM (June 20, 2024) - The aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) arrived at U.S. Naval Base Guam for a scheduled port visit, June 19. Ronald Reagan has been forward-deployed to Yokosuka, Japan, for the past nine years. This year, Ronald Reagan is returning to the mainland United States for maintenance, and will be replaced as America’s forward-deployed aircraft carrier by USS George Washington (CVN 73).
NAVAL BASE GUAM (June 20, 2024) - The aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) arrived at U.S. Naval Base Guam for a scheduled port visit, June 19. Ronald Reagan has been forward-deployed to Yokosuka, Japan, for the past nine years. This year, Ronald Reagan is returning to the mainland United States for maintenance, and will be replaced as America’s forward-deployed aircraft carrier by USS George Washington (CVN 73).

This is Ronald Reagan’s first visit to Guam since 2022. The carrier is joined in the port visit by the Ticonderoga-class cruiser USS Robert Smalls (CG 62). During the port visit, Ronald Reagan Sailors will participate in community relations events throughout Guam.

The visit also provides the crew rest and relaxation. Additionally, several Guam Sailors assigned to Ronald Reagan are excited to be returning to visit family and friends.
