Paparo hosted the Malabar navies’ leaders in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, for multilateral and bilateral meetings prior to attending ISS:

Paparo also participated in a Secretary of the Navy hosted discussion on climate and humanitarian assistance/disaster relief (HA/DR) with ASEAN members from Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Fiji.
ISS-25 comprised of more than 100 navies and coast guards with a focus on enhancing maritime security and collaborative operations. Discussions addressed the commonality of navies and need to adapt future technology to counter threats, including climate change, illicit trafficking, and illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing, to support sovereignty and ensure maritime security for freedom of the seas.
