YN1 Nick Alexander, from Fayetteville, North Carolina, is responsible for all administrative requirements for an ISIC Staff of 49 Sailors, executing the role of an independent Command Pay and Personnel Administrator. During the latest CRAV inspection, not only did he receive a grade of “effective” from PSD Afloat West, but he also received accolades from the inspection team for his hard work and attention to detail in ensuring the success of all administrative programs.

He leads 25 Sailors across six DDG Admin Departments in the direct support of 2,000 Sailors. A motivated leader and subject matter expert in the review and completion of 604 pieces of correspondence, 157 awards, 56 FITREPS/EVALS, 28 legal administrative actions, 28 directives and notices, $75K of CSP and PCS/TDY advances, and 40 gains and losses enabling the command to focus on mission readiness and war fighting.

Petty Officer Alexander is an invaluable cornerstone of Destroyer Squadron 21.  His selfless dedication and unwavering devotion to mission success make him most deserving for “Sailor of the Day.”
