The migration to the new site will allow MyNavyHR to better serve Sailors and the fleet by modernizing the site, optimizing it for mobile use, and increasing integration with Navy.mil, other MyNavy HR websites, and the Defense Visual Information Distribution Service (DVIDS).
The new site will be rebranded to MyNavyHR.Navy.mil conforming to the enterprise rebranding that began in March 2020 with all MyNavyHR social media sites. The rebranding to MyNavyHR.Navy.mil also reflects the current website’s long-standing hosting of the majority of the MyNavy HR enterprise pages, which ranges from 21st Century Sailor, NAVADMINs and Uniform Regulations, to boards, detailers and MNCC.
“The documents on this website are not only important to Sailors who may need the information, but also their spouses or even agents at the MyNavy Career Center Call Center when assisting them with any issues they may have,” said Don Koehler, MyNavyHR/NPC web manager.
NPC.Navy.mil is currently one of the highest trafficked sites in the Navy where approximately 600,000 visitors a month conduct an average of 1.4 million visits and view an average of four million pages. Once the new site is live, MyNavyHR.Navy.mil will still host the content that commands and Sailors rely on from uniform regulations, NAVADMINs, and ALNAVS, to boards, detailers and a full range of personnel and pay resources. NPC.Navy.mil will continue to exist as Navy Personnel Command focused sub site under the main MyNavyHR website.
Users of the current NPC website are encouraged to update bookmarks for ease of access to the new homepage of MyNavyHR.navy.mil as any current bookmarks to specific pages, messages or instructions on the old NPC.navy.mil will no longer remain active.
