CMDCM Matthew Haylow

Command Master Chief Matthew Haylow reported to Recruit Training Command, Chicago, IL, in August 1999 and began his career as a seaman. He became an Electronics Technician in 2000, converted to Master at Arms in 2003, and was selected for the Senior Enlisted Leader Program in 2021.
He served in a myriad of sea duty assignments, including Assault Craft Unit TWO, Mobile Security Squadron SEVEN, Naval Support Activity Bahrain, USS Fitzgerald (DDG 62), and most recently as the Security Officer for Fleet Activities Okinawa, Japan.
He served ashore at Naval Air Station/Joint Reserve Base, Ft. Worth, TX, where he performed the duties of the Anti-Terrorism Officer.
He completed three shipboard deployments to the Western Pacific in support of ballistic missile defense and anti-submarine warfare and numerous expeditionary security missions and joint, international security training exercises.
He is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 241/Brown) and CMC/COB Course (Class 211).
He is awarded the Navy Commendation Medal (four awards) and various other personal and unit awards.
