Mr. Ryan Annis

Mr. Ryan Annis reported as Commander Navy Region Korea (CNRK) Executive Director in February 2026.  In this role, Mr. Annis serves as the principle civilian advisor to the Navy Region Korea Commander on all matters under the cognizance of CNRK and subordinate activities.

After retiring from the United States Navy in 2019, Mr. Annis served as the USO Center Manager in Sasebo, Japan. He became a career member of the United States Civil Service in April 2020 where he served as the Commander Fleet Activities Sasebo Housing Director until April 2022.  In April 2022, he was assigned to U.S. Army Installation Command Headquarters as a Housing Management Specialist, where he served in the G4 Housing Division as an action officer in the future plans directorate, processing major decision actions in support of Residential Communities Initiatives and Privatized Housing.  Mr. Annis initially reported to Navy Region Korea in July 2023 as the Navy Region Korea Housing Program Director and became the Navy Region Korea Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) Director in February 2024.

Mr. Annis was born and raised in Merrill, WI.   He graduated from Marquette University with a degree in Criminal Justice and Pre-Law, and earned his commission as a Naval Officer through the Marquette University Navy ROTC program in 1999.  Ryan’s sea tours included Executive Officer, USS AVENGER (MCM 1), Weapons Officer, USS MOMSEN (DDG 92), Auxiliaries and Electrical Officer, USS KITTY HAWK (CV63), and Communications Officer, USS DEWERT (FFG 45).  Throughout his sea tours he completed 5 deployments, including two deployments in support of Operations Southern Watch, Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom, multiple deployments to the Seventh Fleet Area of Operations and one deployment as part of NATO’s Standing Naval Forces Atlantic (SNFL) Battlegroup.  Ashore, Mr. Annis served as the Chief Staff Officer for Commander Fleet Activities Sasebo.  He also served as the Operations Officer for Mine Countermeasures Squadron Seven in Sasebo, Japan and Commanding Officer of Navy Operational Support Center, La Crosse Wisconsin. 

Mr. Annis is married to Mary Jane (Denise) Arguelles and they share five children and two grandchildren.
